Family Week - Barra Castaways

This trip is aimed at families with teenage children. We offer sea kayaking, sit on top kayaking, coasteering and bodyboard surfing. During the week we aim to become castaways for a night or two on an uninhabited islands, with wild camping, campfires and the chance to totally escape.

Lying on the very fringe of Europe the Outer Hebrides are amongst the most beautiful islands in the world. This string of islands offers fantastic scenery and wildlife, and make for a truly beautiful adventure destination. We will be based on the Isle of Barra, the most southerly inhabited island from where we will explore surrounding islands to discover bays, quiet lagoons and stunning white beaches.

Although the trip finishes after lunch on Friday we do offer a further nights accommodation if you require it. There are flights on both Friday afternoon and Saturday, whilst the ferry departs for Oban early Saturday morning.

Available dates for this trip are shown below. Our trips are normally fully inclusive but some of our trips are available as self catering and/or kayaking-only basis. For our lodge-based trips the kayaking only option means you are responsible for all your meals and accommodation. For wild-camping trips you will be responsible for providing and cooking your own meals. Please contact us if you require more information.
